Qurân: 104: 1-9

Meaning and explanation

Qurân:(104: 1-9)
1. “Woe to every backbiter, slanderer,”
2. “who amasses wealth ˹greedily˺ and counts it ˹repeatedly˺,”
3. “thinking that his wealth will make him immortal!”
4. “Not at all! Such a person will certainly be thrown into the Crusher”
5. “And what will make you realize what the Crusher is?”
6. “˹It is˺ Allah’s kindled Fire,”
7. “which rages over the hearts.”
8. “It will be sealed over them,”
9. “In columns outstretched.”

The above-mentioned are the verses of the chapter 104 of the Holy Qurân.  The name of this chapter is “Al-Humazah” which means scorner/scandal monger/ fault-finding backbiter. That means such a person has very bad character.
Such people lived in the past but now they seem to be much more in number. Allah All-Mighty has warned them from a special Fire kindled by Allah. In the whole Qurân no other criminal is warned by a fire especially kindled by Allah. That Fire will rage over the hearts of such criminals who have such personality disorders. This is also true that such people will be keeping their wealth in usury-banks taking lots of usury. In Islam taking usury is by itself a crime, such a crime that Allah gave notice of war from Allah and His Messenger sallaAllaho alaihi wasallam against the usury-takers. Allah wants us to give beautiful loan to the needy and wait for the debtor until he/she can pay back the loan. Even Allah said that if the giver of the loan can afford, he should forgive and leave the loan as charity to the debtor. Allah said that we must fear the Day in which we will return to Allah and then we will be given back everything that we earned in this world.

I sincerely advise every brother and sister to be generous and not stingy. All must fear God/Allah and obey His Commands. Once it came in the news on line that a man and a woman were walking on a street when suddenly sinkholes appeared and both  of them got sunk in the holes. We all are living on the earth of Allah, using Allah’s air and water, and enjoying all blessings of Allah in our body and our surrounding. We must be thankful and obedient to Allah All-Mighty and must not forget that none of us has a way  of escape from Allah’s punishment. May Allah guide us right on the way of Islam, aameen.
